Busy In The Kitchen
Our chef has been busy in the kitchen creating new menus and preparing nutritious food. The preschoolers, toddlers and tweenies loved making pizza at nursery. They love attending Monkey Puzzle Harrow every day as we have lovely activities for them to partake in.
There are many benefits to cooking with your little one. It increases language development, it enhances fine motor skills, can increase maths ability and introduces children to scientific concepts. Depending on the age of the child, it can improve reading skills. Children will find it interesting as it is a different style of reading and it is reading for a purpose. When children are engaged in a fun task such as cooking it can increase focus and attention. Cooking not only promotes healthy eating, but it can also boost self-confidence in children, they feel proud they have created something. It encourages family bonding which is key to building successful relationships and children learn life skills which can impacts a child’s mental well being. We all want children to be able to reach their full potential so having a simple engaging activity such as pizza making, baking cookies and smoothie blending has unlimited benefits.
